# Media library

The **Media** library is where Madison keeps your images. Upload your photos once and reuse them across your social posts and other content.

## Upload images

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Open Media

Select **Media** from the left-hand menu.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Upload

Choose **Upload**, then pick the image files from your computer, or drag and drop them straight onto the page.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Done

Your images are saved to the library and ready to use.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Manage your images

* **Preview**: select any image to view it full size.
* **Search by what's in the photo**: Madison automatically tags your uploads, so you can search for "team" or "pizza" and find the right image fast.
* **Delete**: remove images you no longer need; select several to remove them at once.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can upload images (AVIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, WebP) and video (MP4), up to 400 MB each. Deleting media that's used in a post isn't blocked, so double-check before removing something you still need.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
Upload clear, high-quality photos that represent your business well. They make a big difference to how your posts look, and Madison can suggest them for your [Google listing](/local-seo/publish-photos-to-google.md) too.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.meetmadison.ai/social/media-library.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
