# Team

Add colleagues to Madison so they can help manage your reviews, posts, and messages. Manage your team under **Settings → Team**.

For how to invite people, see [Invite your team](/getting-started/invite-your-team.md).

## Roles

Each teammate has one of three roles:

| Role | Billing | Manage team, integrations, locations | Reviews, posts, messages |
| --------- | :-----: | :----------------------------------: | :----------------------: |
| **Owner** |    ✅    |                   ✅                  |             ✅            |
| **Admin** |         |                   ✅                  |             ✅            |
| **User**  |         |                                      |             ✅            |

* There is always exactly **one Owner**, and the Owner can't be removed. Only the Owner manages billing.
* The Owner is automatically kept on every location.

{% hint style="info" %}
Roles are set when you invite someone and can't be changed afterwards. To give a teammate a different role, remove them and invite them again with the new role.
{% endhint %}

## Active and pending members

The Team tab shows two lists:

* **Active members**: people who have accepted their invite and can use Madison.
* **Pending members**: people you've invited who haven't joined yet (only their email shows until they accept).

## Removing a team member

If someone no longer needs access, you can remove them from this page. They'll lose access to your workspace straight away.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.meetmadison.ai/settings/team.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
